On August 12, 2024, at approximately 10:15 AM Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Lorraine Dacanay Breaux met with licensee Patricia Sutton for the purpose of conducting a REQUIRED UNANNOUNCED Case management - Annual Required/Continual Inspection. . Present in the home for today’s inspection was licensee, licensee's fingerprint cleared assistant/son, Benjamin Sutton and five (5) children were in care (2 infants, 2 preschool and 1 school age). The hours of operation will be Monday- Friday, 7:00 AM to 6:00PM.

The facility is a 2 story, 5 bedroom, 3.5 bathroom home. ON LIMIT: First Floor bedroom/main child care room), family room, kitchen (travel through) and bathroom with the child care room. Front and rear yard both fully gated (excluding the section with swimming pool OFF LIMITS).

OFF LIMIT: Main level the half bathroom, living room (right of the entrance), dining room, kitchen, and the entire second level of the home which includes the master bedroom and 2 bathrooms, 4 bedrooms. Off-limit areas will be inaccessible by closed and/or locked doors, child gates and/or by adult supervision. ISOLATION AREA: On limits area in family room away from the other children in care, until parents pick up.



This facility does have an in ground swimming pool which is off limits, LPA inspected the pool area in the rear of the yard. The pool is surrounded by metal mesh style gate that is at least 5 feet high in the backyard area. The gate swings away from the pool, self-closes and has a self latching device.

All hazardous materials and toxins are kept out of reach from children and are not accessible. The home has a fully charged 3A40BC fire extinguisher (near kitchen), working smoke detector, carbon monoxide detector, working telephone and fully stocked first aid kit. Per licensee, there is firearm on the premises, LPA checked and the firearm is locked separately from the ammunition, and kept away from the children in care. There is a fireplace in the on-limit section of the living room which is barricaded to prevent accessibility to children in care.

Records: At 11:15AM LPA Breaux requested and reviewed three (3) children’s files and personnel records. All files are found to be complete. Individual Infant Safe Sleep Plans are complete and in child's file. Sleep Charts for sleeping infants were reviewed and within compliance of the Safe Sleep Regulations. There is a current roster available for review and copy obtained.

MyChildCarePlan.org: Licensee was informed of the MyChildCarePlan.org website; a consumer education website that helps families obtain child care by connecting them to child care providers and Resource and Referral Agencies (R&Rs) throughout California.

Megan’s Law: During the exit interview, the LICENSEE Patricia Sutton, confirmed that there are no Registered Sex Offenders living in the facility and LPA completed the RSO profile in FAS.

LPA reminded licensee that the facility is on a probation license for two (2) years and the continual required visits will ended August 31, 2024. The Court Order must remain posted for two (2) years from August 31, 2022. The court order is post for public viewing.

There are no deficiencies cited today. Appeal Rights provided. A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days. Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with the licensee, Patricia Sutton.
