25 | On October 21, 2026, at 8:00 AM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Elimika Woods met with licensee Swati Singh to conduct an unannounced annual random inspection. The facility is licensed as a large family child care home with a capacity of fourteen (14) children. At the time of the inspection, nine (9) children, including two (2) infants, were present and supervised by the licensee and her two (2) fingerprint-cleared assistants. LPA toured the interior and exterior of the facility with the licensee to conduct a health and safety inspection.
The facility is a single-family home owned and operated by the licensee. The home consists of four (4) bedrooms, three (3) bathrooms, a living room, dining room, family room, kitchen, backyard, and attached two-car garage. LPA asked the licensee whether there were any firearms in the home and whether transportation was provided for children in care. The licensee stated that there were no firearms in the home and that transportation was not provided. The home was observed to be clean, orderly, and well-maintained. The facility is equipped with centralized heating, air conditioning, and ventilation to ensure the safety and comfort of the children. The hours of operation are Monday through Friday, from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.
The on-limit areas of the home are the living room, dining room, family room, kitchen, hallway bathroom, and backyard. The designated isolation area is located in the living room, away from the other children in care.
The off-limit areas include three (3) bedrooms located past the hallway bathroom, the all-purpose room across from the family room, the attached two-car garage, and the backyard shed located on the right side of the home. These areas are made inaccessible to children through closed and/or locked doors and visual supervision.
Around 8:15 am, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) asked the licensee whether she was providing Incidental Medical Services (IMS) to children in care, and the licensee stated that she was not. LPA discussed the Incidental Medical Services (IMS) policy with the licensee. LPA advised the licensee that when any IMS is provided, a Plan for Providing IMS must be submitted to the Department.
