25 | On October 18, 2022 Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Indira Loza and Licensing Program Manager (LPM) Mayla Mendoza met with Assistant Yolanda Baraba. Present for the inspection were the fingerprint cleared assistant and three infants. The daycare is operating out of the converted garage and a fully fenced backyard.
At approximately 11am LPA Loza requested to see the Infant sleep logs. Based on interviews and record review it was determined that the facility has not been keeping record of the infant sleep logs. The lack of keeping a sleep log for the infants violate the California Code of Regulations 102425(j)(1)(2). Which results in a Type A deficiency, this poses an immediate risk to the health and safety of children in care.
At approximately 10:30am LPA and LPM interviewed the staff, parents, a resident of the home, and the Licensee, it was determined that the Licensee is not spending at least 80% of the time at the facility. It was also stated that the Licensee does not live at the facility, this violates the California Code of Regulations 102417(a), which is a Type B violation. This poses a potential risk to the health and safety of children in care.
The Licensee must provide a copy of this report to all parents of children currently enrolled, and the parents of newly enrolled children in the next 12 months. In addition, Form LIC 9224 (Acknowledgment of receipt of Licensing Reports) must be signed by each parent and placed in each child's file.
A copy of the LIC 9224 is being provided to the Licensee during the inspection.
Exit interview conducted. Report and Appeal Rights provided to Assistant Laura Padilla.
