| On 11/13/24 at 1:20 PM, Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Joe Mary Vargas and Cherie Acosta conducted an announced Plan of Correction (POC) inspection and met with the applicant Venkateswari Arumugam. Present during the inspection was the applicant and the applicant's husband.
During the Pre-licensing inspection on 09/26/24, LPA observed that the AC unit is accessible to children. LPA also advised the applicant to make the off-limit areas in the backyard inaccessible to children.
The LPA again inspected the outdoor play area. During today’s visit, LPAs observed a new fence between the outdoor play area (right side yard) and the backyard where the pool is located. LPAs also observed that the AC unit was made inaccessible to children by placing a cover on it.
During today's inspection, LPAs observed that the fenced installed, that separates the pool area from the play area, does not meet California Code of regulations, title 22. The fence does not have a self closing/latching gate. The pool is covered with a cover that with stands the weight of an adult. The pool area also has 3 bodies of water/fountains that are not covered. The bodies of water are approximately 1 feet to 2 feet deep. These bodies of water are accessible from the ADU
A family child care license is not issued today. LPAs will review what is required for licensure with the Department's management and will contact applicant within 30 days.
An exit interview and a report were reviewed with Venkateswari Arumugam.
