25 | On 10/01/2026 Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Kimberly Vass conducted an unannounced Annual Random Inspection and was met by licensee Roberta James. Also present was licensee’s husband, licensee’s assistant and licensee’s sister. Days and hours of operation are Monday through Saturday from 6:30 am to 10:00 pm.
LPA toured the home inside and outside and a census was taken. LPA reviewed current facility sketch and confirmed that living room, dining room, family room, kitchen, downstairs bathroom, and backyard are used for providing care and are accessible to children. All other rooms are off-limits and made inaccessible by use of baby gates and door locks.
There is no swimming pool or other bodies of water on the premises.
There are no firearms or ammunition on the premises. LPA observed screw drivers, batteries, meat thermometer, wine opener, drill bits, screws, knife, matches, windex multipurpose cleaning packets and carpet cleaning packet in kitchen drawers and eyeglass cleaner, eye drops and cough drops on the kitchen counter, all which are accessible to daycare children and poses a potential health and safety risk to children in care. (See attached 809 D)
There is one fireplace in the home located in the family room and is made inaccessible by a screen and will not be in use during daycare hours. There is a working fire extinguisher, smoke detector, carbon monoxide detector and adequate heating and ventilation for safety and comfort.
