25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Miguel Herrera attempted to conduct an Annual/Random inspection. LPA met with licensee, Victoria Morales and explained the reason of the inspection. Licensee greeted LPA Herrera inside the home and stated that she had not cared for children for the past two years. LPA explained to licensee that the Fresno Regional Office had been trying to contact her regarding her active/inactive status. Licensee apologized and stated that she must have not seen the phone calls/voicemails. Licensee explained that she had not cared for children in the past two years and does not plan to in the future, therefore, she is surrendering her license effective today. Licensee stated that she sold all her equipment, and she was under the impression that Fresno RO was aware of her closure. LPA Herrera explained to licensee that she was in an inactive status a year ago, but her status was back to being active. LPA Herrera explained to licensee that she had outstanding licensing fees, and she would be responsible for the outstanding fees in the event she ever reapplied for a license. Licensee Morales provided LPA Herrera with a statement in which she stated her intention of surrendering her license as of 12/12/2023. Licensing Morales was unable to produce her license as she had misplaced/lost it and instead provided a written statement. LPA Herrera was able to print the license (LIC 203A) and attach it to her written statement. Effective here after Licensee Morales is surrendering her license.
Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with Licensee Morales. Per Title 22, Division 12, Chapter 3, of the California Code of Regulations, no deficiencies are cited. Licensee Morales was provided appeal rights.
