25 | On October 20, 2026, at 12:45 PM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Elimika Woods conducted an unannounced Annual Random Inspection and met with Director Falguni Buddhdev. The infant facility is licensed to serve a capacity of 35 children. At the time of the inspection, 23 infants were present and under the supervision of five staff members. The facility consists of three infant/toddler classrooms. LPA toured the interior and exterior of the facility with the Director to conduct a health and safety inspection. The facility's hours of operation are Monday through Friday, from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
LPA reviewed the facility records and verified that all individuals subject to a criminal record review had a clearance or exemption and were associated with the facility. LPA conducted a census of the children in care and verified that the census matched the 23 children signed in through the electronic attendance system. At approximately 1:30 PM, LPA reviewed four children's files and five (5) staff files. All staff files contained the required Health Screening, Statement Acknowledging the Requirement to Report Child Abuse, and Employee Rights documentation. All children's files contained Personal Rights, Medical Consent, and Identification and Emergency Information forms. At least one staff member responsible for opening or closing the facility has a current CPR and First Aid certificate.
At approximately 1:00 PM, LPA inspected the three infant/toddler classrooms and observed that teacher-child ratios were in compliance. Adequate play and learning materials were available for the children. Floors, furniture, and equipment were age-appropriate and maintained in good repair. The facility had adequate heating, air conditioning, ventilation, and lighting. Drinking water was available both indoors and outdoors, and individual storage space was provided for each child. The designated isolation area for sick children is the Director's office, located away from other children in care.
The facility is equipped with hardwired smoke and carbon monoxide detectors, a functioning telephone, a pull-down fire alarm system, and multiple fully charged 3A40BC fire extinguishers that meet State Fire Marshal standards. Disaster drills are conducted at least once every six months. The most recent disaster drill was conducted on September 24, 2026. All required documents were posted in a publicly accessible area.
