25 | On October 5, 2026, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Valentin Hernandez and Licensing Program Manager (LPM) Cynthia Brannon conducted an unannounced case management inspection. LPA and LPM met with Director, Vanessa Bryant. LPA and LPM toured the facility inside and outside, and a census was taken. The purpose of today’s inspection was to measure the playgrounds.
The facility's north playground is currently under construction, and the playground size will be reduced. LPA and LPM observed that the playground contained the following equipment and structures: swing set, teeter tooter, taxi cab play structure, children play house and climbing playground play structure. Licensee is utilizing wood chip as cushioning.
In the south playground LPA and LPM observed that the playground contained the following equipment and structures: slides, free standing slide/play structure, small ride on toys, spring mounted/ rocking playground equipment. Licensee is utilizing wood chips as cushioning.
In the media playground LPA and LPM observed that the playground contained the following equipment and structures: music play instrument, metal play vehicle and hard plastic square that children can crawl through. This area does not contain climbing equipment. This is a grass area for children.
The estimated total square footage of the three outside play areas is 13632. Licensee requested an outside waiver with the outside play schedule. Upon returning to the office, the waiver will be reviewed with Regional Manager.
Based on the square footage of the playgrounds, the areas can accommodate a capacity of 181 children in all three outside play yards.
The report was reviewed, and an exit interview was conducted with Director, Vanessa Bryant. Per Title 22, Division 12, Chapter 1 of the California Code of Regulations, no deficiencies were cited during today’s inspection. Appeal rights were provided. A Notice of Site Visit was issued and must be posted for 30 days.
