25 | On 07/09/26, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Denisia Jimenez arrived at the facility to conduct an unannounced case management incident inspection. LPA met with Regional Director; Amy Miller and a census was taken.
The purpose of today's inspection was in reference to a self-reported unusual incident that was reported to the Fresno Childcare Regional Office on 06/27/26.
At approximately 3:30 PM on Saturday, 06/27/2026, a vehicle struck the facility’s main water line and exterior wall. No one was on site at the time of the incident. Due to the loss of water, the facility closed for several days while the damages were assessed, and the main water line was running. All families and staff were notified. On 07/01/26, LPA Jimenez contacted Regional Director Amy Miller for a follow-up. Amy reported that the facility reopened today and water service has been restored. She also stated that the playground used by the 3-year-olds remains closed until repairs can be completed, and the doors to that area will be kept locked to ensure no children access the space.
During today’s site-visit, LPA conducted a walk through of the playground and observed the damaged wall had been secured with ply wood, preventing children from accessing the affected area. LPA also verified that both the hot and cold water was functioning properly throughout the facility.
This was an isolated incident, and staff took appropriate measures by notifying families, temporarily closing the facility, and implementing measures to ensure the health and safety of the children while repairs are completed.
Per Title 22, Division 12, Chapter 1 of the California Code of Regulations, no deficiencies are cited.
Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with Regional Director, Amy Miller. Appeal rights were provided. LIC 9213 Notice of Site Visit is provided and required to be posted for 30 days.
