25 | On July 22, 2026, Licensing Program Analysts (LPA) Valentin Hernandez and Aurelio Mendoza conducted an unannounced case management – incident inspection. LPAs met with Program Manager, Erin Wilcox. LPAs toured the facility inside and outside, and a census was taken. The purpose of today’s inspection was to follow up on an unusual incident report submitted to the Fresno Regional Office on July 14, 2026.
On July 8, 2026, one of the facility’s air conditioning units was no longer cooling properly. The facility had two air conditioning companies evaluate the unit, and both advised that the unit required replacement. In the interim, the facility is using 2 window units to maintain classroom temperatures below 85 degrees, in accordance with Title 22 regulations.
During today’s visit, the LPAs conducted observations and reviewed facility files. The LPAs verified that the indoor temperature remained below 85 degrees and that the room was comfortably cool. Program Manager Erin Wilcox reported that the facility is scheduled to relocate early in 2027. Based on the information obtained, the LPAs determined that staff took appropriate corrective actions, followed facility protocols, and maintained compliance with Title 22 regulations.
An exit interview was conducted, and the report was reviewed with Program Manager, Erin Wilcox. Appeal rights were provided. Per Title 22, Division 12, Chapter 1 of the California Code of Regulations, no deficiencies are cited. This report shall be made available to the public upon request. LIC 9213 Notice of Site Visit was provided and is required to be posted for 30 days.
