32 | The parents that were interview stated the Licensee does not have a discipline policy and the children in care are not discipline to their knowledge. Parents also stated the facility is clean, in good condition and no signs of insects or rodents near on inside the facility. LPA interviewed staff and staff disclosed they do not use physical discipline towards children in care. Staff also disclosed the facility does not have insects or rodents and has hired a pest control to spray for insects around the perimeters of the facility.
Based on the evidence obtained, interviews conducted and observations, the allegations of Provider uses corporal punishment to discipline day care children; Provider does ensure day care home is free of insects and rodents are deemed Unsubstantiated. A finding that the complaint is unsubstantiated means that although the allegations may have happened or is valid, there is not a preponderance of evidence to prove that the alleged violations did or did not occur.
No deficiencies are being cited in accordance with Title 22 of the California Code of Regulations and/or Health & Safety Codes.
An exit interview was conducted, a copy of this report, appeals rights and a notice of site visit were discussed and provided to Licensee, Abie Kanu.
