On September 8th, 2026, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Judy Laureano arrived at the facility to deliver complaint findings regarding the above mentioned allegation. LPA was greeted by assistant director Tania Ortega and owner Latiesha Austin and conducted a tour of the indoor and outdoor preschool areas. LPA observed 56 children and 8 staff members providing care and supervision.

LPA observed the preschool outdoor area and observed a variety of age appropriate outdoor equipment as well as shaded areas for children to use.

This visit followed an initial complaint investigation conducted by LPA Laureano on June 17, 2026. During that initial visit, Facility Director Perla Venegas greeted LPA Laureano and guided her on a tour of the indoor classrooms and outdoor spaces. LPA observed 28 children under the care and supervision of 4 staff members. During the inspection, LPA Laureano interviewed staff and children, and requested copies of the children's roster, the fire drill log, and the daily attendance sheets.

LPA Laureano concluded all investigative interviews on September 8, 2026. Parent interviews revealed that parents are satisfied with the care and supervision their children receive and do not have any concerns regarding the facility's nap time procedures. Staff interviews indicated that all children nap on cots inside their respective classrooms. Furthermore, interviews noted that if a child appears drowsy, staff complete a health check to determine if parents need to be contacted for pick up. All children are given the choice to rest or engage in a quiet activity, and interviews confirmed that children have never napped outdoors.

Based on interviews conducted with staff, parents, and children, no information was disclosed to support the allegation that staff are failing to meet the children's napping needs, therefore, the allegation is UNSUBSTANTIATED, meaning although the allegations may have happened or are valid, the preponderance of the evidence standard has not been met.

Exit interview was conducted with assistant director Tania Ortega and owner Lateisha Austin and a copy of the report was provided with a Notice of Site Visit.
