25 | On 4/27/2023, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Suzette Ornelas conducted an unannounced Case Management – Legal/Non-compliance inspection as part of frequent monitoring per the non-compliance conference held on 6/10/2022.
LPA met with Licensee, Irma Castillo, who guided LPA on a tour through the indoor and outdoor of the facility. LPA observed 5 children and 3 adults (cleared and associated).
Licensee agreed and is aware that she cannot have more than 12 children because she doesn’t have Landlord Consent.
LPA explained to Licensee Castillo that as she doesn’t have Landlord Consent and Licensee agreed that her license is to be updated to reflect a reduced capacity to 12 (from 14). LPA explained to Licensee that she will need to submit an updated LIC 279A and a check or money order for $25.00 for a capacity decrease (as her license is currently for a capacity of 14). LPA informed licensee that she has 3 days to submit the revised LIC 279A and the fee. LPA reminded licensee instructed licensee to contact Regional Manager Victor Bautista if she has any questions at 424-301-3052.
LPA Ornelas reviewed all of the children’s files to ensure that licensee provided parents the NCC (LIC 9224) for the NCC which was held on 06/10/22 and for which she should be providing copies to all of the parents through 06/10/23.
LPA asked licensee who lives in the residence and verified the associations from Guardian to ensure that all of the people she named are cleared and associated. LPA informed licensee that she may include other residents’ names on the LIC 279 she submits if there are new members of her household.
No deficiencies are cited, per Title 22, Division 12, Chapter 3, of the California Code of Regulations.
