32 | same classroom, away from the other children in care. Per Director, the isolation area is located in the Director's office (Facility Evaluation Report 02/06/26). LPA did not observe any mats or cots where a child may rest when feeling ill. The fact that C1 showed signs of illness during breakfast (8:30 AM) and had a temperature of 101.6, the center's staff failed to isolate a child showing signs of illness. Based on LPA's observations, interviews which were conducted, and record review, the preponderance of evidence standard has been met, therefore the above allegation is found to be SUBSTANTIATED. California Code of Regulations, Section 101223(a)(2) are being cited on the attached LIC 9099D.
LPA R. Derraco informed Director Monica Gonzalez that this report dated 06/12/26 documents one Type A citation which shall be posted for 30 consecutive days as there is an immediate risk to the health, safety, or personal rights of children in care.
Also, LPA R. Derraco informed Director Monca Gonzalez to provide a copy of this licensing report dated 06/12/26 that documents any Type A citation to parents/guardians of all children currently enrolled by the next business day or the next day the children are in care, and to any newly enrolled parents/guardians for 12 months from the date of this report. A signed Acknowledgement of Receipt of Licensing Report (LIC 9224), or other written statement, must be placed in the child's file for verification.
A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days.
Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with Director, Monica Gonzalez.
