32 | Upon arrival Licensee, was not home- Assistant stated that Licensee was out running an errand and will be back soon. When asked where Licensee was at, Assistant stated that Licensee was at the doctor. Per Assistant, Licensee left at 7:00 AM and she has been in the facility since 7:00 AM, since she lives in the facility. Licensee, arrived at 8:30 AM and LPA was given a tour of the facility.
Regarding allegation- Licensee does not reside in the home- LPA observed children's furniture in the living room, 3 bedrooms, kitchen, and back room (garage). One of the bedrooms had a twin size bed but had items placed on top. The facility was set up as a day care center not a family home daycare. Closets were mainly storage for day care- LPA did observed some clothing in the back room. During Interview with Licensee, she at first stated that she lived in the home alone. Throughout the course of the inspection and interview Licensee, admitted that she does not live in the home- she and her family live in another home.
Licensee, was informed that since she is not living in the home she has to forfeit her license. Licensee and assistant called parents to pick up children.
This agency has investigated the complaint alleging Licensee does not reside in the home. Based on LPA’s observations and interviews which were conducted, the preponderance of the evidence standard has been met, therefore the above allegations are found to be SUBSTANTIATED.
