LPA conducted interviews with Staff # 1 and # 2- staff corroborated that when it is time to wake up they wake up the environment- by turning on lights and music. Per staff, as children start hearing the music and lights turn on they start waking up on their own

Staff corroborated that they do not go to individual children to wake them up and have not observed other staff waking up children individually.

LPA conducted interviews with 5 children. 3 out of 5 children disclosed that they wake up on their own. Child # 3 disclosed that the lights wake them up and child # 5 disclosed that the lights and teacher saying wake up friends wake up is what wakes them up. Children did not disclosed being physically waken up by staff.

LPA conducted interviews with parents. Parents interviews corroborated that their children have not disclosed any issues with staff waking them up and that they are happy with the care their child receives.

This agency has investigated the complaint alleging Staff interfere with children's nap time. Based upon the evidence as presented above, the allegation has been determined to be Unsubstantiated. A finding of Unsubstantiated means that although the allegation may have happened or is valid, there is not a preponderance of evidence to prove alleged violation(s) did or did not occur, therefore at this time the above allegation is unsubstantiated.

No deficiencies cited for this report/allegation. A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days. Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with the facility representative xxxx.
