In regard to allegation (1) Staff do not ensure to meet day care children's nutritional requirements and allegation (2) Staff does not follow facility food menu: Staff # 1- 11 corroborated that they provide children 4 meals a day (breakfast, snack, lunch and pm snack). Per Staff # 8 they follow a nutritional guide when preparing meals. Additionally Staff # 1-11 corroborated when children are still hungry and ask for more- they provide children with more food, milk and water. Regarding not following menu Staff # 1-11 corroborated that the food posted in menu is what it served. If for whatever reason something is changed they will informed parents through the Pro-Care App- but they don’t recall any changes Additionally, staff disclosed that for birthday’s parents may bring pizza and fruit juice and that information is also provided in the Pro Care App

LPA conducted interviews with parents and children. Parent’s statements corroborate that they do not have any concerns with the food provided for their children and that they are not aware of any changes since they have not seen any on the app.

During children interviews: 6 out of 6 children corroborated that they like the food provided and that if they want more food, they will ask teachers for more food and it is provided to them.

This agency has investigated the complaint alleging Staff do not ensure to meet day care children's nutritional requirements and Staff does not follow facility food menu. Based upon the evidence as presented above, the allegations staff do not ensure to meet day care children's nutritional requirements and supervise day care children- staff does not follow facility food menu have been determined to be Unsubstantiated. A finding of Unsubstantiated means that although the allegation may have happened or is valid, there is not a preponderance of evidence to prove alleged violation(s) did or did not occur, therefore at this time the above allegation is unsubstantiated.

A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days. Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with Facility Representative Assistant Director Cynthia Yang.
