13 | At 9:10am on 6/26/2023, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Matthew Gallo met with licensee Laura Becerra to deliver findings regarding the complaint that was opened on 3/28/2023. Also present today was day care assistant, Samantha Glatt, and twelve day care children.
It was alleged that an uncleared adult was providing care and supervision to day care children. Throughout the investigation, LPA conducted observations, record review, and interviewed Reporting Party, staff, parents, and children. During said interviews, LPA received corroborating information in support of the Reporting Party’s specific allegation, that the licensee’s sister, Julia Sekulich, an uncleared adult, had been working in the facility in the fall of 2022. The preponderance of evidence standard has been met. Therefore, the above allegation is SUBSTANTIATED.
A Type A Title 22 Deficiency has been cited on the attached LIC 9099-D. An immediate civil penalty has been assessed in the amount of $100. Appeal Rights were provided. An exit interview was conducted, and a Notice of Site Visit posted. |
