25 | On September 08, 2026, an unannounced annual random inspection was conducted at the facility by Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Long Pham. At 9:00am, LPA observed the licensee Brooks Bey Marcherie and two assistants providing care for 1 infant, and 5 preschool children. Licensee was operating within the licensed capacity as specified on license.
A review of the Facility Personnel Report Summary on this date indicates all facility residents, staff, or other individuals who require caregiver background checks have received criminal record and child abuse index clearances or exemptions. Currently, according to the Licensee, there are 5 adults and 6 minors including the licensee residing in the facility. Facility Day care hours are 7:00am - 6:00pm, Monday through Friday..
During today’s inspection, LPA and licensee toured the inside and outside areas of the facility sketch as accessible to childcare children. This is a two-story home with 7 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, a living room, a dining room, a kitchen, a front yard (not fenced), a backyard (fenced), and a garage. Licensee stated the day care area consists of the living room, one bathroom, the dining room, and the backyard (fenced). Off-limit areas include 7 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, the front yard (not fenced), the kitchen, and the garage. LPA verified the childcare areas on the facility sketch and off-limits are made inaccessible by means of baby safety gate. Licensee has placed a baby safety gate at the bottom of the 1st floor leading to the 2nd floor, ensuring the 2nd floor is inaccessible to children. The facility doesn’t have a fireplace. There is at least one working carbon monoxide, smoke detector, and fire extinguisher in the home that meet statutory and State Fire Marshall standards. Last fire/disaster drill documented on 04/14/2026. Detergents, cleaning compounds, medicines, and other items, which could pose a danger if readily available to children, were stored inaccessible to children. Licensee stated there are no firearms and/or other dangerous weapons in the facility, and none were observed during today's inspections.
