During the July 22, 2026, inspection, LPA observed a Govee wireless thermometer displaying an indoor temperature of 86 degrees Fahrenheit at 1:33 p.m., which increased to 90 degrees Fahrenheit by 2:01 p.m. An extreme heat warning was issued for the area by the National Weather Service. Although the facility has one air conditioning wall unit located near the front desk, LPA was only able to feel the air conditioning in the specific area.

Multiple staff stated they had observed the black plastic weed barrier exposed in several areas, with one staff member reporting they had also seen exposed dirt beneath the plastic. During the June 22, 2026 inspection, LPA observed numerous areas where wood chips were displaced, exposing the underlying black plastic. While staff reported children frequently throw the wood chips during play, LPA learned there is no designated staff responsible for redistributing the wood chips to maintain adequate cushioning throughout the playground.
Lastly, the complaint alleged that children are not provided with an adequate amount of food. Five of six staff interviews revealed that children are only provided additional servings if extra food has already been prepared.
