25 | On 07/21/2026 at 7:30 AM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Gabriela Hernandez conducted an unannounced annual inspection for a large family childcare at the above home. LPA met with Licensee Selene Juarez, who guided LPA on a tour of the home. There was 1 child present with Licensee and Assistant when LPA arrived. During the visit, Licensee confirmed they have 13 children enrolled.
The facility operates Monday through Friday from 5:00 AM to 5:30 PM each day. Certain areas are off-limits, including: Bedroom #2, Bedroom #3, Master Bathroom, laundry room, garage, and both side yards of the backyard. Licensee will submit an updated facility sketch, Bedroom #1 will be used by day care children after Licensee submits updated facility sketch. The facility is licensed as a large Family Child Care Home (FCCH) with a maximum capacity of 14 children and is operating within the licensed capacity of the license. The fire clearance for a large family child care was approved on 06/23/2025 by Riverside County Fire Department.
During the inspection, LPA verified a working cell phone and landline telephone are available, and verified email on file is correct. A fully charged fire extinguisher (2A:10BC) was observed, along with a functioning smoke detector and carbon monoxide detector, both of which were tested by the Licensee. There is no fireplace in the home. All hazardous items, including toxins, are stored securely and are inaccessible to children. No weapons are present, and the Licensee, Selene Juarez, understands that all firearms, weapons, and ammunition must be locked separately and made inaccessible as per Title 22 Regulations.
The facility provides clean, safe, and age-appropriate toys for children. A current roster is on file, and required postings, including the Facility Sketch, Emergency Disaster Plan, and Notification of Parent’s Rights, are displayed. Fire and disaster drill documentation is maintained, with the last drill conducted on May 29, 2026.
