13 | On March 16, 2022, at approximately 1:30 PM, Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Alize Tillery and Josiah Gathing and Licensing Program Manager (LPM) Seychelle De Luca, met with the Licensee, Laura Lyon, virtually via Zoom, for the purpose of delivering the findings to the above allegations. The meeting is taking place via Zoom due to the Licensee not being in Sacramento.
It was alleged that the facility has animal feces accessible to children, that the facility does not maintain comfortable temperature, and that unfingerprinted adults reside in the home. During the course of the investigation, LPAs received contradicting information and did not observe animal feces nor did the facility appear to have uncomfortable temperatures. At this time, all adults residing in the home have been live scan fingerprinted.
Based on the investigation conducted, although the allegation may have happened or is valid, there is not a preponderance of the evidence to prove that the alleged violations occurred. As a result, the allegations are UNSUBSTANTIATED.
Licensee has decided to terminate her license effective today, 3/16/2022.
LPAs reviewed the report with Licensee. A copy of the report and appeal rights will be emailed to Licensee.
Acknowledgement of delivery will constitute acknowledgement of the report in lieu of a signature. |
