13 | On February 16, 2023 at approximately 12:40 PM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Josiah Gathing met with Licensee Deanie Guerin, to amend and close the above complaint investigation. The complaint alleged that a child was injured while left without supervision. LPA interviewed staff, children, and parents. LPA witnessed full supervision of all children in care throughout the investigation. Parent interviews did not provide evidence to support the allegation. LPA learned through Staff interview that a child in the front room was antagonizing another child. To resolve the issue, one child was brought to a different room, leaving the other child alone in the front room momentarily. Upon returning to the front room, the Provider found that the child had sustained an injury while alone. Although the child may have been left alone momentarily, there was not evidence to show that the facility has not met the supervision requirements per regulation.
Based on interviews with staff and parents the preponderance of evidence standard has not been met, and the allegation is unsubstantiated. |
