On Thursday, March 10, 2022, 1:05 PM, Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Tanya Washington and Kelly Ferrara conducted an unannounced Required 1 year annual inspection and met with Licensee's spouse Sharon Guilmet. Licensee was picking up a school age child and arrived to the facility shortly after LPAs arrival. LPAs observed two children in care of Sharon Guilmet. There are no off limit areas in the home. Licensee is aware that if any alterations are made in the future, Licensing office must be contacted.
Licensee stated there are no new residents in the home since licensure. The hours of operation are Monday through Saturday from 6:00 AM to 12:15 AM.

LPAs observed current CPR/First Aid certificates for both the Licensee and his spouse which expire 02/2024. LPAs reviewed files for the children in care during today's inspection. LPAs observed that there were no hazardous items accessible to children. There is no fireplace in the home. LPAs observed that cleaning materials were inaccessible. Fire extinguisher, smoke detector, and carbon monoxide detector meet regulation. Toys appear to be safe. There are no bodies of water on the premises. LPAs discussed current COVID guidelines with Licensee.

LPAs observed a current fire drill log and children’s roster. Proof of AB1207 mandated reporter training was observed for Licensee and his spouse expiring 01/04/2024. LPAs explained that the OCAP modules are free of cost and available at: http://www.mandatedreporterca.com/. Licensee is aware that certification must be renewed every two years.

Licensee was reminded that all adults 18 and over living or working in the home, including employees and volunteers, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a licensed Family Child Care Home. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day up to $500.00 maximum per day/per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated.
