25 | On 3/3/2023, at approximately 9:45 AM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Alize Tillery made an unannounced visit to conduct a case management visit. Upon arrival, LPA observed 7 children, supervised by Licensee and Assistant.
Licensee informed LPA that the off limit garage area has been reconstructed and Licensee is requesting the the area be used for all day, day care space. LPA informed Licensee that the space will need to be permitted by the county in order for the space to be considered a true addition to the home, an no longer considered a "garage". At this time the space has not been permitted.
LPA toured the space. Licensee is requesting the space be called "Day Care Area". The day care area was equipped to serve day care children. The space included an active area for the children, a kitchen and bathroom and central heating and air unit. Toxic and hazardous items are inaccessible to children and age appropriate toys and equipment were observed.
Effective today, LPA Tillery is approving the use of the Day Care Area. Licensee understands that since the area is not yet permitted with the county, children are not allowed to eat nor sleep in the Day Care Area.
LPA reviewed and provided a copy of the report to Licensee. A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days. |
