25 | On July 9, 2026, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Hanna Cha met with Licensee Lydia Edwards. The purpose of the visit was to conduct an unannounced Annual/Random inspection of the facility. LPA disclosed the purpose of the inspection to the Licensee and toured the facility. LPA observed two school-age children in care. LPA verified criminal record clearances for all adults in the home. The current days and hours of operation are 7 days/23 hours. LPA informed Licensee that Licensee must stay awake during all hours children are awake.
Physical Plant/Child Care Area: This is one-story home with four bedrooms, three bathrooms, kitchen, dining area, child care room, living room, laundry room, garage, front yard, and backyard with an in-ground pool. Main child care is provided in the kitchen, dining area, child care room, living room, laundry room, bathroom #1 (located adjacent to the kitchen) and backyard. The off-limit areas are all four bedrooms, two bathrooms, and garage. The off-limit areas made inaccessible via key-lock doors. LPA inspected the child care areas for age-appropriate toys/equipment, safety, and good repair. The carbon monoxide alarm tested to be in operable condition. The kitchen was observed for safety, sanitation, and good repair. Licensee provides all meals during operational hours. The child care bathroom observed for safety, sanitation, and good repair. Children provided with soap, towels, and toilet paper. Per Licensee, there is no smoking in the home. Per licensee, no firearms/weapons on premises.
Pool/Spas/Bodies of Water: LPA observed an in-ground swimming pool fully surrounded by iron fencing measuring at 5 feet 5 inches in the back yard. The fence does not obscure the pool from view. The vertical clearance from the ground to the bottom of the enclosure did not exceed two inches. There were no gaps or voids wider than 4 inches. The gate swings away from the pool, self-closes, self-latches, and has a key-lockable device placed no lower than 60 inches above the ground.
