25 | On 11.3.23, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Kris Diaz met with S1 who granted LPA access to home. LPA conducted safety inspection where 3 deficiencies were observed. At the times of the visit LPA observed 11 childcare children in care with 1 assistant.
Per the assistant, the licensee went to the store and the other assistant went to pick up their child from school. During the visit, another adult (A1) arrived at the facility. LPA asked A1 their name and for Identification. A1 provided CADL (see LIC811). A1 stated, "me and my aunt are staying here for now." LPA asked the name of A2 and A1 provided the information. LPA observed that A1 does not have fingerprint clearance. Fingerprint clearance is in-process as of 11.3.23. LPA observed that A2 has fingerprint clearance. Per licensee, Unusual Incident Report (UIR) will be submitted by close of business today regarding circumstances of uncleared adult in the home. LPA observed A1 eat lunch in kitchen away from childcare children and move to off-limits area having no contact or interaction with children in care.
LPA observed a baby swing in the living room. Licensee stated the swing is for personal use. LPA advised licensee that swing is prohibited on premises during childcare hours. LPA advised licensee to move swing to an off-limits area. LPA did not observe the swing being used during visit.
Based on observation and interview, it is determined that facility did not meet CCR capacity requirements (See 809D). Therefore, a type B citation will be issued due to the assistant's arrival shortly following LPAs arrival.
Notice of Site Visit was given and shall be posted for thirty (30) consecutive days. Failure to maintain posting as required will result in a $100 civil penalty.
An exit interview was conducted and a signed copy of this report, the Notice of Site Visit and Appeal rights have been provided to Licensee. |
