Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs), Saraliz Velando and Mahjoba Raofi, conducted an unannounced case management inspection for an increase in capacity. LPA met with Licensee, Adila Faizi. There were 8 children present today. This visit is to verify that the licensee remains in substantial compliance with the health & safety standards as required by regulations governing large family childcare homes. Licensee has all appropriate forms posted. LPA confirmed with licensee that all adults residing/working in the home have criminal record/TB clearances. The home appears to be large enough to comfortably accommodate 14 children. Fire clearance was granted on 5/23/24. Licensee stated her business hours are 24 hours/seven days a week.

Areas used for childcare include Living room, dining room, family room, bathroom #1, bedroom #1, and Backyard. Off limits areas include bedroom #2 and bedroom #3 and bathroom #2 and are inaccessible through use of doorknob covers. The licensee has sufficient toys and equipment available. There is a nearby park that Licensee takes the children to for outdoor activities with constant supervision. LPA conducted childcare quality management interview with the Licensee. The fireplace is barricaded with a sofa to be inaccessible to children.

The fire extinguisher meets regulations and is located in the dining room area. The carbon monoxide detector/smoke detector combination located in the hallway also meets requirements and is operational. All hazardous items were latched/locked and secured out of reach of children. There are no bodies of water on the property, however, the licensee stated that his neighbor to the left has a swimming pool. Licensee states that there are no weapons in the home. Licensee has required immunizations. CPR/First Aid card expires July 2025. Licensee is exempt from Mandated Reporter Training as their primary language is Dari.
