Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Saraliz Velando and Sherlynn Banas conducted an increase of capacity inspection with the Licensee. The one story apartment home was toured and inspected to ensure an environment safe for the care and supervision of children. Present were both Licensees and 3 day care children. The fire extinguisher, smoke detector, and carbon monoxide detector meet requirements and are operational. All hazardous items were latched and secured out of reach of children.

First Aid and CPR certifications for both licensees expire on July 2024. Licensee has required immunizations. Licensees both have completed Mandated Reporter Training which expires February 2025.
Licensee has provided adequate space for 14 children to eat, sleep and play within the home. Areas
used for childcare include: Daycare room, Bathroom 1, and Back yard. Off limits areas include Bedrooms 1 and 2 and are inaccessible through use of doorknob covers. The licensees has sufficient toys and equipment available. The home has a fenced backyard with an exit door that has been approved by the fire department available for outdoor activities.

LPA discussed the safe sleep regulations with licensee and discussed the Child Care Licensing Safe Sleep webpage at https://www.cdss.ca.gov/inforesources/child-care-licensing/public-information-andresources/safe-sleep as an additional resource. LPA also informed licensee [or facility representative] of the importance of checking for recalled infant devices on the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) website at https://www.cpsc.gov/ and recommended they register all infant devices with the CPSC to be notified of any recalls on their purchased equipment.
