On February 29, 2024, at 11:45 a.m., Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), D. Sanchez, conducted an unannounced Annual Inspection and met with the Licensees, Damaris Lopez and Maria Sanchez. LPA disclosed the purpose of the inspection and was granted entry into the facility by the Licensees. Eleven (11) children and the two licensees were present in the facility during this inspection. This facility is a two story, 5 bedroom, 3 bathroom house. Licensee accompanied LPA inside and out of the facility during this inspection. The following areas used for child care are: living room, dining room, kitchen, family room, hallway bathroom, bedroom located in the 1st floor and backyard. Off limits areas are: all rooms located in the second floor and garage and are inaccessible through use of door knob protection and a baby gate.

The fire extinguisher, smoke detector, and carbon monoxide detector met requirements. All hazardous items were inaccessible to children. The licensee has toys, play equipment and materials available. The home has a fenced backyard available for outdoor activities. No bodies of water observed on the premises during the inspection. Licensees stated there are no weapons in the home. A review of staff records on this date indicates that all facility staff or other individuals who require caregiver background checks have received criminal record and child abuse clearances or exemptions.

During inspection LPA provided a copy of the Department issued Decision and Order CDSS Case No. 7723234101C&D, issued on 02/12/2024, excluding Subject 1 and 2 (S1&2) from residing or working in the facility effective on 02/22/2024.
This order and notice were provided to the licensees, S1 & S2 via certified mail. Licensees confirmed they received and understand Decision and Order.

Licensees' First Aid and CPR certifications expire on 10/2025. Licensees' have required immunizations. Licensees completed Mandated Reporter Training on 4/07/2022. Facility roster is maintained and was reviewed. LPA obtained a copy of the facility roster. The last fire and disaster drills were conducted and documented on 12/11/23.
