13 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Jennifer Lott and IB Investigators, Thomas Smith, Ernestina Belluco and Annette Renquist conducted an unannounced complaint investigation visit regarding the above mentioned allegation. LPA/Investigator were greeted at the front door by Adult #1 (A1) and licensee, Jessica Sommerville and granted entry after identifying themselves and disclosing the purpose of their visit.
During today’s visit, LPA Lott and Investigator spoke with licensee and A1. A1 does not have a background clearance and based on A1’s own statements, admits they have been in the home on several occasions during day care hours. Since A1 was found to be in the home during day care hours, the preponderance of evidence standard has been met, therefore the above allegation is substantiated. Deficiencies are being cited per Title 22 regulations, Division 6, on the attached LIC 9099D. Additionally, civil penalties will also be assessed in the amount of $200 and noted on the attached LIC 421BG. An exit interview was conducted and the report was reviewed with the licensee. A notice of site visit was given and must be posted for 30 days.
