25 | On 4/25/23 at 2:03pm, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Martha Malane conducted an unannounced case management - deficiency inspection. Upon arrival, LPA met with Licensee’s helper, Andrea Esparza and discussed the purpose of the inspection and was led on a tour of the facility. There were nine (9) children in care, all of whom were sleeping, at the time of the inspection.
The facility was found to be operating over capacity as there were nine (9) children and only one helper in the home. At 2:30pm, an additional helper, Carolina Rivera arrived at the facility.
During today's inspection the licensee was cited one Type A deficiency for a repeat of the same violation that occurred on 4/10/23; see LIC809D and civil penalties assessed.
LPA informed licensee’s helper, Andrea Esparza that this report dated 4/25/23 documents one (1) Type A citation on the attached LIC809-D, which shall be posted for 30 consecutive days as there is an immediate risk to the health, safety, or personal rights of children in care. Also, LPA informed licensee’s helper to provide a copy of this licensing report dated 4/25/23 that documents any Type A citation to parents/guardians of all children currently enrolled by the next business day or the day the children are in care, and to any newly enrolled parents/guardians for 12 months from the date of this report. A signed Acknowledgement of Receipt of Licensing Report (LIC9224), or other written statement, must be placed in the child's file for verification.
Exit interview conducted with licensee’s helper, Andrea Esparza. A notice of site visit was provided and must be posted for 30 days. Failure to comply with posting requirements shall result in an immediate civil penalty of $100.
