Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Tricia Danielson arrived unannouced to the facility to initiate an investigation into the allegation listed above. LPA met wit Director Cheryl Farmer and explained the purpose of the visit. At the time of today's visit, the facility had 12 infants enrolled and 12 infants were present.
During today's visit, LPA toured the facility including the kitchen food prep and storage area. LPA observed an adequate supply of nutritious foods including multiple gallons of fresh milk, cheeses, several varieties of fruits and vegetables, chicken nuggets, tortillas, pancakes, waffles, Gerber baby food and personal formulas. The food supply was also compatable with the posted menu. Director Farmer reported the facility is part of the food program and all food purchased must meet requirements for nutrition and quantities and the facility is subjected to food program inspections as well. LPA Interviews conducted with 3 staff also supported LPA's observations and food program's requirements. One infant, who could talk was also interviewed.
Although the allegation may have happened or is valid, there is no preponderance of evidence to prove the alleged violation did or did not occur, therefore the allegation is unsubstantiated. An exit interview was conducted, and this report was reviewed with and provided to Director Farmer. Appeal Rights were also discussed and provided. An LIC 9213- Notice of Site Visit was also issued and must remain posted near the main entrance for 30 days. Non-compliance with posting will result in a $100 fine. This report must be accessible to the public for three years.
