25 | On May 8, 2024, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Van met with Licensee Vergine Abazyan, for an unannounced inspection of the Plan of Correction (POC). LPA explained the purpose of the inspection to the licensee, who then granted LPA entry to the home. The licensee and a helper supervised seven children, four infants and three preschoolers. Co-licensee Tatiana Sergunina was not present during the visit. Per Ms. Abazyan, her co-licensee, Tatiana Sergunina, had a doctor's appointment today. During the visit, another staff member, Anastasiia Moskaliuk, arrived.
During the annual inspection on April 19, 2024, several deficiencies were identified at the facility. Among them, the Licensee was inconsistent in documenting the necessary 15-minute check on sleeping infants. Additionally, wool blankets were utilized as bedsheets in five play yards, which did not comply with the infant's safe sleep.
During today's inspection, LPA found that all play yards had been rectified with proper and tight-fitted bedsheets. Furthermore, all infants' sleep logs were properly documented with accurate dates, and staff initialed the check. As a result of these corrections, all deficiencies cited during April 19, 2024, were cleared.
An exit interview and consultation were conducted with the Licensee. No deficiencies were observed in today's inspection.
A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days.
An exit interview was conducted, and the report was reviewed with the licensee, Vergine Abazyan, and her assistant Anastasiia Moskaliuk. |
