25 | On August 13, 2026, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Van conducted a case management inspection to assess the safety of the outdoor play area following recent playground resurfacing and to identify any potential hazards that could impact children’s health and safety. At the time of inspection, eleven staff members, including the owner, were observed supervising fifty-six preschool children. The center was operating within the required teacher-to-child ratio.
The center's owner reported that the facility replaced the playground surfacing with new pour-in-place (PIP) material. The resurfacing project began on July 22, 2026, and was completed on July 24, 2026, by a contracted playground surfacing company.
LPA conducted a walk through of the outdoor today. The outdoor play area is fully fenced and resurfaced with new PIP material designed to provide adequate impact protection for children. The yard includes a large central play structure with slides and climbing components, designed for children ages 2 to 5. Additional features include open space for gross-motor activities and age-appropriate equipment arranged to allow clear visibility and supervision. Pathways and activity zones were free of debris, and the layout supported safe movement throughout the play area. The playground and newly installed PIP surfacing were observed to be in good condition, approved for children’s use, and to have no hazards identified during the inspection.
LPA reminded the center’s owner, Sharon Moy, to submit updated licensing forms reflecting that the previous director, Alycia Moy, has returned to the center and resumed the director role.
A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days.
The exit interview was conducted, and the report was reviewed with the center’s owner, Sharon Moy.
