On November 8, 2022 at 12:07 PM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Francisco Pedroza conducted an unannounced Required Case Management - Annual Continuation inspection. LPA met with Licensee Michael Gutierrez and advised him the purpose of the inspection. Licensee provided LPA a tour of the facility. There was eight (8) children in care and one (1) assistant.

Licensee uses one bathroom and living room for children in care. LPA observed stairs with a secured gate at the bottom preventing children from having access. LPA observed fireplace in the living room with a secured screen preventing children from having access. LPA observed smoke and carbon monoxide detectors. They were not tested due to the children sleeping at the time of the inspection. Licensee stores their knives, cleaners and disinfectants in a top cabinet out of reach from children in care. LPA observed a serviced 2A10BC fire extinguisher on the kitchen counter with a service date of 6/15/22. Licensee had age appropriate toys, furniture, and accessories readily accessible for children in care. Licensee advised there are no firearms or live ammunition in the home.

LPA reviewed a sampling of children and staff records. The children and staff records were found to be current and complete. Facility does not have any children requiring incidental medical services (IMS). Facility staff met the requirements for Mandated Reporter and CPR/First-Aid. The last fire drill was completed on June 24, 2022.

No deficiencies were cited during today's inspection.
