On 1/9/2024, Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Francisca Velazquez and Gigi Reyes, conducted an unannounced Required Inspection. LPAs met with Licensee, Esperanza Correa and Assistants, Vinshu Correa and Liliam M. Torres. Also present during this inspection was Licensee's parent, Esperanza T. Correa. LPAs discussed the nature and purpose of the inspection with the Licensee and together we toured the inside and outside of the home. LPAs note there are two (2) children present along with Licensee, two (2) assistants and Licensee’s parent.

The main day care areas are the living room, dining room, bathroom, and one (1) bedroom and outdoor yard. LPAs observed the day care area to be clean and orderly. LPAs observed a fireplace in the living room that is secured by means of a safety latch. LPAs observed age-appropriate books, toys, games, tables, and chairs. LPAs observed two (2) secured gates in the kitchen, making the area inaccessible. Additionally, LPAs observed a secured gate on the first step of the stairway in the home, making the entire second floor inaccessible to children in care. The restroom that used for day-care services was observed to be clean and free of toxins. The backyard is secured and completely fenced. LPAs observed plenty of gross motor activities for children. LPAs observed there is plenty of shading to afford the comfort of the children. LPAs observed filtered water is accessible to children in care by means of a pitcher of water with individual cups. No bodies of water were observed.

Licensee stated that there are no weapons/ammunition in the home. Licensee stated she does hold a foster family license. LPAs conducted children file reviews and found the files to be complete and current. The facility roster was complete and available at the time of the inspection. The fire extinguisher was observed and was purchased, 7/1/23. There is a functioning combination carbon monoxide and smoke detector that was tested at 12:45 PM, and meets statutory requirements. The last fire drill was conducted on 12/15/23. LPA reviewed Licensee and Assistant's file and found all three (3) staff files to be complete and current. Licensee and assistants are current with immunization required per SB 792. CONT 809-C
