32 | A conversation was held with Staff 1(S1) and the parent (P1) involved. Staff (S2-S3) were present during the interaction and both denied witnessing S1 verbally confronting the parent at any time.
P1 could not name any children who were said to be present.
Allegation 2: Children's nap time was interrupted
It was alleged that children's nap time was interrupted. It was alleged that a teacher took 2 children(C1-C2) out of nap time to be interviewed by LPAs. Staff S1 and S4 were the two teachers in the room during nap time. Staff who were interviewed denied waking up children for the LPAs interview.
During LPAs interview with children, C1 denied the allegation . C1 stated that C1 and peers "wake up all together."
Parents interviewed reported no concerns regarding nap time or any interruptions.
Allegation 3: Staff did not notify the parent of their child's knee scratch incidents
It was alleged that staff did not notify a parent of two knee scratch incidents involving C1. LPAs reviewed the child's file and confirmed that written documentation was completed for both dates. On the first date, C1 showed the parent the knee scratch during pick up in the presence of S1, and the parent did not ask any questions. On the second date, S1 informed the parent of the scratch during pick up.
The facility's policy requires immediate notification only for major injuries. Notification for minor injuries is provided at the end of the day or during pick up.
Parents interviewed reported no concerns regarding injury notification.
