13 | On May 17 2024 at 3:35pm, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Nicolette Cunningham conducted an unannounced complaint inspection, and met with licensee Sara Harris. It was alleged that children are not served adequate food, staff did not meet daycare child’s diapering needs, and facility has broken toys posing a hazard to children. On 3/7/24 LPA interviewed licensee Harris who denied the allegation. Licensee Harris stated she provides adequate food that meets the food program guidelines and staff check children’s diapers when they switch activities (i.e. – before lunch, before nap, before outdoor playtime and before departing). Licensee Harris also stated broken toys are removed from the playroom.
During the investigation, eight parents (P1-P7 and P9) and five witnesses (W1, W7, 8, 9, 10 & 12) were interviewed on 3/13, 3/15, 3/18, and 4/23/24. Some children were not verbal, too young to interview, unavailable for interview or did not qualify to be interviewed.
