25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Glenn Ouye met with the licensee who recently moved to this new location. The change of location application was received on July 5, 2022, however LPA Ouye previously spoke with the licensee and was aware of the move.
The fire inspector conducted the fire clearance and approved the large capacity.
The home is a four bedroom, two bathroom, single story home. The on limit area are the living room, the dining room/kitchen, the three front bedrooms, hallway bathroom and the garage. The off limit area is the master bedroom. There are door knob slip covers making the room inaccessible. There are functioning smoke detectors and carbon monoxide detectors. There is also a carbon monoxide detector in the garage. The fire extinguisher rated at 3A40BC and the pull station fire alarm are located near the door entering the garage. There are no poisons and the storage requirements were discussed with the licensee. There are no weapons kept in the home.
The backyard is fully fenced and there are age appropriate toys and equipment in the backyard. There is a trampoline but the licensee indicated that the trampoline will not be used by day care children. The licensee said that only her own children are allowed to use the trampoline when the day care is closed. LPA Ouye explained the the trampoline can be used if she changes her mind as long as the manufacture directions are followed.
Licensee was reminded that all adults 18 years and over living in the home, persons who provide care and supervision to children, and staff who have contact with children, including employees and volunteers, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a licensed Family Child Care Home. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day up to $500.00 maximum per day/per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated |
