32 | The licensee was informed about the MyChildCarePlan.org website, a resource designed to help families connect with childcare providers and Resource and Referral Agencies throughout California. Additionally, LPA informed the licensee about a survey that may be emailed to them to provide feedback on the inspection process. Questions about the process can be directed to [email protected].
A review of children’s files revealed that they were complete and included required emergency information. The licensee’s Mandated Reporter Training and CPR/First Aid certification are valid through February 2027. Additionally, immunization records for all employees and/or volunteers, including influenza (decline statement on file for influenza), pertussis, and measles vaccines, were available for review.
LPA discussed several regulatory reminders with the licensee. Children must be supervised at all times and cannot be left unattended in parked vehicles. The Community Care Licensing website (www.ccld.ca.gov) was highlighted as a resource for forms, regulations, Provider Information Notices (PINs), and quarterly updates. LPA also reviewed criminal record clearance requirements, emphasizing that all individuals aged 18 and over residing or working in the home must have a criminal record clearance or exemption before being present in the facility. Violations of this regulation could result in a civil penalty of $100 per day, up to a maximum of 30 days for repeat offenses.
Safe sleep regulations were reviewed, and LPA provided the licensee with the link to the Child Care Licensing Safe Sleep webpage (Safe Sleep) as a resource. Licensee was reminded to check the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) website (www.cpsc.gov) for recalled infant devices and to register all infant equipment for recall notifications.
Incidental Medical Services (IMS) policy was discussed, and LPA directed the licensee to PIN 22-02-CCP for more information. Licensee was reminded to submit a Plan for Providing IMS if such services are offered. Information regarding the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) was also provided, including the U.S. Department of Justice’s toll-free ADA Information Line at (800) 514-0301 (voice) or (800) 514-0383 (TTY), and the publication “Commonly Asked Questions about Child Care Centers and the ADA,” which is available online at ADA Child Care Centers.
