25 | On 09/28/2026, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Valerie Mireles conducted an unannounced Annual Random Inspection and was met by licensee DeeDee McCarty. Also present were Licensees two assistants and her husband. LPA toured the home inside, outside and a census was taken. Days and hours of operation are Monday through Friday from 6:00AM to 6:00PM.
This is a two-story home and stairs have a child-safety gate when children under the age of 5 are present. LPA reviewed current facility sketch and confirmed that the kitchen, family room, living room, downstairs bathroom and backyard are used for providing care and are accessible to children. All other downstairs rooms are off-limits and made inaccessible by using doorknob spinners. Safe toys and play equipment are observed. LPA observed age-appropriate learning materials, toys, a television, books, and child-sized table and chairs. There are no fireplaces in the home. There is a working fire extinguisher, smoke detector, carbon monoxide detector and adequate heating and ventilation for safety and comfort. Licensee reported that there are no firearms or ammunition on the premises. No poisons were observed during the inspection. Detergents, cleaning compounds, medication and other hazardous items are made inaccessible.
The outdoor play area in the backyard is fenced and there are no hazards to children present. LPA observed a swing, dirt-digging area, balls, bikes, bounce house and a mini-trampoline for children to use while in care. Licensee understands that trampolines and bounce houses are to be used per manufacturer’s specification and there is to be 100% supervision when a child is playing on the trampoline and/or bounce house. There is no swimming pool or other bodies of water on the premises.
Licensee ensures that children in care are supervised at all times and is aware children shall not be left in parked vehicles during transportation. Continued to LIC809-C.
