On 08/14/2026, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Dana Santiago conducted an unannounced subsequent complaint visit at Center of Gravity. LPA met with Director Raissha Seeley and explained the purpose of today's inspection. During today's inspection, there were 43 preschool children in care with additional 5 staff.
Complainant alleges that Staff are not utilizing an appropriate napping space for children in care. During the course of the investigation, LPA inspected the facility, reviewed relevant documents, and conducted interviews. It was revealed that a section of the Designers classroom was having the floors remodeled, therefore napping activity of 18 children took place on campus in the church's parish hall. The parish hall was used very briefly for 3 naps from the week of May 11-15. The children were under supervision of appropriate staff while maintaining ratio. The parish hall has a fire clearance with max capacity of 125 individuals and shows no evidence of hazards or immediate risk to children in care.

Therefore the above allegation is UNSUBSTANTIATED which means although the allegation may have happened or is valid, the preponderance of evidence to prove the alleged violation did or did not occur has not been met.

There was no citation issued for the above allegation. A technical violation was issued in accordance to Title 22 Section 101173(b)(7), see LIC9102.

An exit interview was conducted with center director, Raissha Seeley. This report and Appeal Rights were provided. The Notice of Site Visit form was also provided and must be posted for 30 consecutive days.
