How to read violations

Nearly every licensed provider accumulates some. A missing signature and an unlocked medicine cabinet are both “violations”, and they are not the same thing. Look at the class, the pattern over time and how quickly it was corrected — not the count alone.

CCR 1022423(a)(1) — (a) Each child receiving services from a family child care home shall have certain rights that shall not be waived or abridged by the licensee..

“Based on interviews and records review, licensee did not ensure the personal rights of a child in care. LPA also obtained and reviewed facility records and other pertinent information related to the above allegation. It was also reviewed that a child was left alone in a room crying. This poses a potential risk to the health, safety and/or personal rights of children in care.”
