Violations
Text reproduced verbatim · California Department of Social Services, Community Care Licensing DivisionNearly every licensed provider accumulates some. A missing signature and an unlocked medicine cabinet are both “violations”, and they are not the same thing. Look at the class, the pattern over time and how quickly it was corrected — not the count alone.
Class is our grouping of the state’s own weights, reviewed per state. The agency’s own label is always shown beside it.
“Based on interviews conducted and licensees own admission, it was disclosed a child sustained multiple injuries (laceration/cut on back of head, scratch near their eye and redness on cheek) while at the facility. This poses an immediate health and safety risk to children in care.”
“Licensee confirmed these incidents occurred, but had no evidence that parents were notified. This poses an immediate health and safety risk to children in care.”
“Disclosure that licensee engages in giving children who do not listen “Pow Pow’s”. Licensee explained that a “Pow Pow” is a “smack on their hand or butt” This poses an immediate health and safety risk to children in care.”
“During the tour on a complaint investigation, it was observed that an infant was sleeping in a crib with a blanket as well as a pillow; the crib was located in the day care area of the home. This poses an immediate Health and Safety Risk to children in care.”
