Delaware publishes only visits where a regulation was cited, plus complaint investigations. Visits that found no violations do not appear in the state's data, so a gap between dates here does not mean the program went uninspected. Delaware does not publish a severity weight for its citations.

Violations
Text reproduced verbatim · Delaware Office of Child Care LicensingNearly every licensed provider accumulates some. A missing signature and an unlocked medicine cabinet are both “violations”, and they are not the same thing. Look at the class, the pattern over time and how quickly it was corrected — not the count alone.
Class is our grouping of the state’s own weights, reviewed per state. The agency’s own label is always shown beside it.
“Ensure child files are complete. Four children need a health appraisal. Two children need an immunization record. One child needs blood lead screening.”
“Ensure electrical outlets are covered. Ensure an electrical inspection is conducted by an approved agency every three years.”
“Ensure the fire extinguisher is inspected and tagged annually.”
“Ensure the kitchen, food prep, serving areas, appliances, and utensils are clean and sanitary. The kitchen counters need to be cleaned. An unplugged crockpot was observed full of leftover food on the kitchen counter. An unclean spoon was observed next to the crockpot. Ensure food is clean stored properly. A frozen waffle was observed on the counter, two waffles were observed in the toaster, and the remaining waffles in the packaging were observed unfrozen on the kitchen counter. Ensure the freezer is at 0 degrees F or colder. The thermometer for the freezer read 1 degree F and 2 degrees F.”
“Ensure diapers are disposed of in a trashcan that has been lined with a plastic bag. The foot-activated trashcan used for diapers was observed full of diapers but was not lined with a plastic bag.”
“Ensure the first aid kit is complete. Purchase an instant cold pack.”
“Renew the State of Delaware business license.”
“Post the emergency substitute's information. This was corrected when the provider documented the substitute's information and posted it.”
“Ensure child files are complete. One child needs a health appraisal and blood lead screening results. One child needs parents right to know and screen time permission.”
“Store routine cleaning supplies out of children's reach. Bathroom cleaner was observed under an unlocked cabinet in the bathroom. This was corrected when the cleaner was removed.”
“Ensure food is stored properly. This specialist observed leftover food not properly covered or labeled in the refrigerator.”
“Store nap equipment so they are not touching one another or clean and sanitize daily. The nap mats were observed stacked on top of each other. This was discussed with the provider and corrected when she agreed to store them not touching.”
“Ensure single-use towels are available at all times for hand washing. This specialist observed labeled hand towels draped over the bath tub. When asked, the provider stated the children use the fabric hand towels to dry their hands. This was discussed with the provider and corrected when she supplied the bathroom with paper towels.”
“Complete the administration of medication training and obtain a renewed certification.”
“Ensure the renewal application is submitted at least 60 days prior to the license expiration.”
“The Office of Child Care Licensing (OCCL) received a complaint on June 4, 2024, regarding the suspension/expulsion policy in the parent handbook, accident/injury procedures, and lack of supervision. An investigation was conducted on June 5, 2024. The complaint is substantiated for the suspension/expulsion policy because there was not a suspension/expulsion policy in the parent handbook the provider provided during the visit. The allegation of not following accident/injury procedures is substantiated because the accident/injury handwritten report was missing the child s name and the first aid or medical care provided as required in the regulations and was not available in the child s file. There is no evidence to substantiate the allegation of lack of supervision because the provider stated the incidents happened when she was changing a diaper, preparing a meal, or assisting another child in the bathroom.”
“Ensure play equipment is sturdy, safe, clean, and free from rough edges, sharp corners, etc. The wood sandbox on the playground is splintering due to weather exposure. Please send a picture of the wooden sandbox corrected or removed from playground.”
“When a child is placed in time-out, they may not be restained. Upon arrival, LS [name withheld] observed one child in a feeding chair with a connected T-Strap and was quickly removed by [name withheld]. During the visit, [name withheld] placed the same child back in the feeding chair, verbally informed him it was for time-out, and clipped the T-Strap.”
“Ensure child files are complete. Child #1 needs lead test results. Child #4 needs a health appraisal with immunizations. Child #7 needs parents right to know, screen time permission, and permission to sleep in another room or area.”
“Replace the missing outlet faceplate in the kitchen.”
“Have the fire extinguisher inspected annually and tagged.”
“Ensure food is stored properly. LS Sommer observed food stored without proper packaging including meat in the freezer, unlidded butter, and unwrapped cream cheese. Remove the tape on the reusable cups, clean and disinfect before next use.”
“Repair the gate to ensure it is self-closing. Remove the trash, broken toy, and broken stroller.”
“Ensure rest equipment is in good repair. Remove the torn pack-n-play. Ensure nap equipment is 36 inches apart. Two pack-n-plays in use were observed touching.”
“Replace the torn diaper mat.”
“Purchase bandage tape for the first aid kit.”
