Delaware publishes only visits where a regulation was cited, plus complaint investigations. Visits that found no violations do not appear in the state's data, so a gap between dates here does not mean the program went uninspected. Delaware does not publish a severity weight for its citations.

Violations
Text reproduced verbatim · Delaware Office of Child Care LicensingNearly every licensed provider accumulates some. A missing signature and an unlocked medicine cabinet are both “violations”, and they are not the same thing. Look at the class, the pattern over time and how quickly it was corrected — not the count alone.
Class is our grouping of the state’s own weights, reviewed per state. The agency’s own label is always shown beside it.

“On November 22, 2022, the Institutional Abuse Unit (IAU) received a complaint regarding a child injury but did not accept it for investigation. The Office of Child Care Licensing (OCCL) received the complaint on November 28, 2022, and accepted it for investigation for allegations of lack of supervision. An investigation began on December 1, 2022, and ended on January 24, 2023. The complaint is substantiated for lack of supervision and incorrect staff-to-child ratio, because staff were observed on video from November 21, 2022, leaving children unsupervised and classes out of ratio. It was observed only one staff person was present with 12 one-year-old children on the playground for 30 minutes on the same date. The Licensing Specialist did not observe when the child got hurt on the video segments, but did observe the child unable to put weight on his left foot when back in the classroom after the class came in from playing on the playground at approximately 11:21 AM Concerns also observed on video footage and cited are improper discipline and lack of positive behavior support when dealing with children s behaviors, staff not cleaning and sanitizing tables and diaper changing mats when required; staff not washing their hands or the children s hands as required; using inappropriate language in conversation with children present; not contacting a parent immediately after assisting the child for a serious injury, and lack of appropriate interactions between staff and children.”
