Violations
Text reproduced verbatim · Texas Health and Human Services Commission, Child Care RegulationNearly every licensed provider accumulates some. A missing signature and an unlocked medicine cabinet are both “violations”, and they are not the same thing. Look at the class, the pattern over time and how quickly it was corrected — not the count alone.
Class is our grouping of the state’s own weights, reviewed per state. The agency’s own label is always shown beside it.
“It was observed that on the playground equipment that several metal pieces of equipment had paint chipping that exposed rusted metal that could cause an injury to a child. It was also observed that one piece of equipment had sharp edges of metal due to a missing seat.”
“It was observed that equipment that rocks/rotates was lacking proper use zone surrounding the equipment.”
“It was observed that a rocking/rotating piece of equipment was lacking proper loose fill or unitary surface.”

“This standard was reviewed as part of an investigation and found non-compliant based on information obtained. It was discovered the gate does not properly latch when the chain is not attached to the gate which can lead to a child leaving the playground without the caregivers' knowledge.”
“The caregiver had the required amount of training hours, however the required topics were missing; Prevention, Recognition and Reporting Abuse/ Neglect, Emergency Preparedness, Preventing, Controlling, Responding to Emergencies due to Food or Allergic Reaction, and Understanding Building and Physical Premises and Safety.”
