Violations
Text reproduced verbatim · Texas Health and Human Services Commission, Child Care RegulationNearly every licensed provider accumulates some. A missing signature and an unlocked medicine cabinet are both “violations”, and they are not the same thing. Look at the class, the pattern over time and how quickly it was corrected — not the count alone.
Class is our grouping of the state’s own weights, reviewed per state. The agency’s own label is always shown beside it.
“Child under 2 years of age was observed watching television. This was corrected when the primary caregiver turned the television off.”
“The primary caregiver is missing training on shaken baby syndrome, safe sleep practices, or Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS).”
“The primary caregiver is missing training topics under: Administering medication. Preventing and responding to emergencies due to food or an allergic reaction. Understanding building and physical premises safety. Handling, storing, and disposing of hazardous materials.”
“The backyard where children play was found to have several hazards including a dilapidated bench that is next to play equipment children use as well as stacked totes and boxes with daycare materials that can tip over.”
“During reivew of the first aid kit the homes kit was found to have expired antseptic wipes. This was corrected when the caregiver replaced the wipes with antiseptic solution.”
“During the inspection I obseved a tv not anchored in the play room. This was corrected when the caregiver removed the TV and placed it in a room not occupied by children in care.”
“During review of the homes operaitonal policies, the homes policies were found to not have included all required information for promotion of Physical Activity.”
“During review of infants the home was found to not have current feeding instructions for an infant not yet ready for table food.”
