Violations
Text reproduced verbatim · Texas Health and Human Services Commission, Child Care RegulationNearly every licensed provider accumulates some. A missing signature and an unlocked medicine cabinet are both “violations”, and they are not the same thing. Look at the class, the pattern over time and how quickly it was corrected — not the count alone.
Class is our grouping of the state’s own weights, reviewed per state. The agency’s own label is always shown beside it.
“The operation had 1 caregiver with 12 children in a classroom when the specified age group was 2 years old. This was corrected when director moved a child to another room.”
“The operation had expired booster seats in both vans used to transport children. The last time boosters seats were used was the day before. This was corrected at inspection when the director removed all the expired seats and replaced with new ones.”
“The operation did not have policy for inclusive services to children with special care needs in their operational policy.”
“The operation did not have policy for unassigned Epinephrine pens in their operational policy.”
“A child was scratched by another child while in care. The caregiver in the classroom saw the child crying and the child holding their face, however the caregiver claims to have not noticed the scratches even after the scratches were pointed out by another caregiver. Neither caregiver informed the director about the scratches.”
“A child was scratched by another child while at the center. The staff failed to notify the parent of the scratches.”
“The activity plan posted in classroom #3 and #4 were for the week of May 16-20, 2022. Corrected at inspection: The activity plan for the week was done and posted during the inspection.”
“A child was left unattended in the transportation van for less than a minute.”
“A caregiver failed to account for all the children before leaving the van unattended.”
“The transportation training was last taken on 09/01/2020.”
“The consumer product safety commission was last signed in January of 2020. Corrected at Inspection: It was resigned during my walk-through.”
“The fire inspection was last done on 10/21/2020.”
